Aaron Bebe Sukura and
the Local Dimension Palm Wine Band

(Acoustic Highlife from Ghana)

1. TIZAAR KUTUOR GMETAR (WE ALL CANNOT BE THE SAME)

God has created us all so that we are not the same. We have different talents.
Some of us are policemen others are nurses and teachers, some of us are
soldiers and others are farmers and musicians.

2. NIESALA BETERISOB (HUMAN BEING HAS NO OWNER)

When a baby is born it is the responsibility of the parents to bring that child up.
But when the baby grows up it belongs to everybody as it has no owner.

3. ASAAKUMMENE TENGDAR (OUR ANCESTORS' TIME)

In the olden days the world was a nice place to live in . Today the same cannot be said. The world is now full of distrust, armed robberies, lies, wars and all sorts of vices.

4. N'YONG (1 AM ALONE)

In this song Aaron is saying that he is the only born of his parents.
He is asking God to bless him and his music so that he can take care of his poor
and ageing parents and his other relatives who live in his village of Tanchara.

5. YEVENKETINOTAA (LET'S LOVE ONE ANOTHER)

If someone loves you, give them love in return.
When God created us he said that we should love each other.

6. BIBIKUWONWULU (A CHILD WHO DOESN'T LISTEN TO ADVICE)

A child who does not take good advice will have a bleak future.

7. DINA-El (AS FOR TODAY)

A lady pretends to love a young man who buys things for her
and takes her out to many places. However, when the man proposes love
to her she says no. Realising that the women has no love for him the
man demands back the gifts he gave her.

8. POOGLE (LADY)

This song advises men and women to look before the leap into a love affair:
otherwise they may regret later on.

9. DAGAABA FRAFRA

This is a peace song for the neighbouring Dagaaba and Frafra people northern Ghana - and indeed the
people of Ghana and the world as a whole. Everyone should unite, as whether Dagaaba or Frafra, or white
or black, as the whole world is one.

10. ABETAAYEL (WHO HAS NO PROBLEM?)

Everyone has one sort of problem or another. Poor people start to think
after eating about how they will get food the next day. On the other hand
rich people cannot sleep at night as they are always thinking that
thieves will take their property away

11. TIERE NAAGMI (THINK OF GOD)

People should think of God every day as it is God who created us.

12. GYAE CORRUPTION (STOP CORRUPTION:

sung in the Twi language) Corruption is eating into many countries
in Africa and elsewhere. Some use the pen for evil purposes, some use
their knowledge in a bad way, whilst others just go and obtain guns to rob people.

13. GOD'S AND MAN'S CREATION

Sometimes people get annoyed and disappointed when the machines they
have created go wrong. They want their machines to function properly.
Likewise God, who created us, wants us to obey him and is disappointed when we do not.

14. BARIKA (THANK YOU)

In this song Aaron is thanking God for his talent

15. KONKONSA (GOSSIP)

Gossip or backbiting is not good. It can spoil friendship and
marriages - and even sometimes lead to death.

Language: All songs in the Dagari language, except for song no. 12,
which is in the Twi language

Dedication of album: To God and to Aaron's parents

Manager of project: John Collins
